Energetic boundaries

Multiple Meanings of the Word “Intrusions”

There are many meanings for the word intrusions. In shamanic practices, intrusions are often thought of as negative thought forms that are powerful enough to penetrate into a person’s energy field like a parasite. Once an intrusion has penetrated a person’s energy body, it is generally recognized that a localized physical problem or symptom is generated and felt by that individual. In my shamanic practice, I often perceive intrusions as dark slimy serpentine or slug-like creatures, frequently becoming agitated once they have been identified in an attempt to remove them. For the longest time, I have wondered just how people acquire these subtle negative energy intrusions. Read More »Multiple Meanings of the Word “Intrusions”

Bugged by the Flu

The flu viruses of 2013 are getting quite a bit of press lately, what with Boston and New York declaring health emergencies and using the word epidemic! Are you anxious yet? Hoping to find a clinic or a pharmacy with some flu vaccine for a flu shot? Wondering if you will fall victim to this nasty bug that is reputed to be highly contagious? Carrying around your bottle of alcohol gel? Worried about whether or not to mingle in public or just quarantine yourself? I have a few thoughts about this year’s flu epidemic.

First off, “catching the flu” is allowing yourself to become vulnerable to being invaded by a foreign intruder, in this case a virus. The entire concern thus becomes a boundary issue for if your energetic boundaries are too porous or insubstantial that a virus invades your body, you have a big problem. It’s no fun lying in bed with the flu and a nasty fever and cough for days on end. As someone recently characterized this experience, it’s just misery. People who are codependent allow other people to invade them in different ways. Sometimes it is verbal, sometimes physical or sexual. Codependents are overly accommodating to others’ wishes and desires and often end up becoming victims of other peoples’ selfish needs and habits. Their codependency is itself a habit wherein one simply is insubstantial and is either unwilling or unable to protect themself by saying NO to others.

14th Energy Psychology Conference Update

The conference in San Diego was wonderful this year. It was May 31-June 2 and I enjoyed all of the presentations I went to. The keynote speakers were quite good, particularly Dr. Gary Schwartz who spoke about Earthing. This is a way to describe the benefits of grounding and the positive effects of the free electrons from the earth that when regularly exposed to, reduce and even eliminate inflammation, more and more suspected as the underlying cause of many chronic and degenerative disease processes. I ordered a grounding rubber pad to place my feet on while at the computer as well as a conductive bed sheet, both of which are connected to the ground in the wall electrical socket. It’s only been three days of use but so far, the results appear promising with better sleep and an old knee injury that seems to be less problematic. I will keep you updated. Another Case of Soul Stealing

A client came in today feeling dispirited with life in general. She had been feeling well and in-fact had facilitated a personal growth weekend with a group of women the previous week. She suspected she was dissociated and when muscle testing, it was determined that she was only 20 percent connected to her physical body. She did not know why but  was just feeling blue and lethargic. I ended up doing frontal occipital holding and was told by one of my guides that she had no energetic boundaries with any of her female clients and one in particular. When I shared this with her, she recounted that there was one woman in the workshop she facilitated that kept challenging her power and authority as the workshop leader. The last evening of the workshop, when my client was tired from holding the space for all the participants all weekend, this other woman co-opted the group to follow her lead as she became in charge.
